Last weekend, I went to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for the Lewe’s Polar Bear Plunge; benefiting Special Olympics Delaware. I had THREE much fun! I stayed at a beautiful Bed ‘n’ Breakfast called The Lighthouse Inn (LOVE the two fabulous owners.) On Saturday, we did the Polar Bear Cake-Off, where I competed in teams with some of my other NGB cast-mates. Over 1,400 people attended the Cake-Off. That evening, we had an AMAZING dinner and Margaritas at Dos Locos. I also had a blast singing karaoke with friends. On Sunday, I went for the plunge! The sand was cold in itself and couldn’t imagine what it would be like in the water. I like to go big or go home, so I went all the way in. The feeling is indescribable: such an amazing rush! This is one of the most amazing experiences ever. Sounds weird, but the freezing-ness is actually not as bad after you go in the water. lol. I wanted to go back in and do it again. It was such a great time, being around the ones I love and meeting new people. My face hurts from smiling so much and laughing so hard. People of Rehoboth and those involved with the Polar Bear Plunge/Special Olympics Delaware have such BIG hearts.
Polar Bears broke the records this year with 3,685 registered Bears and raised over $650,000 dollars!
This weekend definitely goes in the books and I hope to be there again next year!
